Acceptance Happens Every Day
|
Autism Acceptance Month begins tomorrow, but Acceptance happens every day.
Acceptance starts with an understanding that everyone’s unique experiences are valid; the Autism Society of Greater Akron creates space for each member of the Autism community to speak openly and without judgment. We are proud to celebrate and recognize the many varied experiences across the Autism spectrum.
When we #CelebrateDifferences, we are putting acceptance into action by embracing the unique experiences across the Autism community. Because no family or individual’s story is the same, this Autism Acceptance Month, it is vitally important that we work together to meet the specific needs of everyone in the Autism community.
Acceptance means that we create connections for everyone in the Autism community to access the unique services, supports, and information to best serve their needs. The Autism Society of Greater Akron works daily to create those connections through advocacy, education, community programming and more.
Be the connection today and support the Autism Society of Greater Akron in honor of Autism Acceptance Month.
With heartfelt thanks,
Laurie Cramer, Executive Director Kamelia Fisher, Senior Director of Development and Engagement
